MEDICAL INNOVATION CLUB

        Medical Innovation Club is a non-profit, non-governmental organization of the former participants of the Salzburg Medical Seminars International and Internship Programs (which were organized by the American-Austrian Foundation and Open Society Institute), Faculty members and Representatives.
        The idea of creation of Medical Clubs is a result of participant's involvement in Medical Seminars International, as well as taking Internships courses at the largests hospitals of Austria.
Goal:
        Improving of Health Care Quality by spreading of information and experience realizing educational and medical-prophylactic activity, work out of politics in the sphere of Public Health, support of Public Health reforms aimed to recognizing current and to creating new services guided by Public Health needs, building of the democratic, open civic society in Russia.

Tasks:

Sharing of information about purpose and activity of Open Society Institute, American-Austrian Foundation, topics and results of the Salzburg Medical Seminars International, internships, popularization, using and exchange of knowledge's and experience.

Offering free access and free dissemination of experience and state-of-the-art medical information via Internet, Medical Journals, Distance Learning (creation of Global Virtual Medical School and Case Library, Training and Teaching Courses, organizing of Videoconferences and Telemedicine seances), translation of information in local languages.

Holding satellite symposiums in the region and realization of specialist's exchange programs in the sphere of Public Health.

Establishing of long-term contacts with educational and treating centers through the world.

Co-operating with regional governmental and non-governmental organizations for protecting of patient's and doctor's rights.

Establishing of free access to medical and prophylactic service for unprotected citizenry through realization of projects aimed to settle topical problems in the sphere of Public Health.

Participating in the process of providing the local medical institutions with medications, equipment and other medical materials.

Assisting in consulting and treating of foreign patients in the region.

Organizing treatment in abroad clinic's for Russian citizens.
